Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Taking into consideration Law No. (11) for the Year 1990 and the Executive List No. (1) for the Year 1963 regarding the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, particularly Articles 4/8 and 4/9 and its amendments,
And Law No. 13 for the Year 1990 to issue the Law of Civil and Commercial Procedures and its amendments
And decision of the Chamber’s Board of Directors No. (5/8) for the Year 2006,
We decided the following:
Article (1)
An arbitration Center shall be established in the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and shall be named the (Qatar International Center for Arbitration) and it shall be located in Doha.
Article (2)
The Center shall be specialized in resolving all types of conflict which are agreed to by all concerning parties according to the model outlined in Law No. 11 of the Year 1990 and brought to the Center in accordance with its Regulations.
Article (3)
The Center is composed of the following staff:-
Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Jasim Bin Muhammad Al Thani Chairman
Mr./ Abdul Rahman Abdul Jalil Abdul Ghani Chairman of the Board of Arbitration
Dr./ Ahmad Muhammad Abd al Badi’ Shatta Secretary General
The arbitration Board of Arbitration will include four additional members:
Engineer/ Ibrahim Yusif Fakhro Member
Mr./ Maysar Sadiq Muhammad Member
Engineer/ Thani Abdul Rahman Al Kawwari Member
Mr./ Yusouf Ahmad Al Zaman Member
Article (4)
The Legal Department at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry shall propose the main Regulations for the Center to be adopted by the Board of Directors alongside the execution of the decision.
Article (5)
This decision shall be effective on its date of issuance
