QCCI hosts Egyptian delegation that promotes (the Nile Doma Project) on the Nile Cornice

Yesterday, the QCCI hosted an Egyptian delegation headed by Major General, Hassan Mokhtar, Deputy of Cairo Governor, Major General. Abdulkader Al-Deraidy, Director of Housing Directorate, Dr. Ashraf Al-Bakry, Project General Manager of the Egyptian Al-Ahli Bank, and Mr. Ahmad Hamed, representative of investment trustees sector of the Egyptian Al-Ahli Bank.

The meeting took place in the main office of the QCCI, and the Qatari side was headed by Mr. Mohammad bin Tawar Al-Kuwari, deputy of the QCCI chairman. The attendees included HE Sheikh Hamad bin Ahmad bin Abdulla Al-Thani, board director, and Egyptian Ambassador to Doha, HE Mr. Abdulaziz Dawood.

The Egyptian delegation promotes (the Nile Doma Project) on the Nile Cornice, which includes 16 plot of lands, among them (7) pieces are on the Cornice, and (9) look on Ebaid Street.

General Al-Deraidy briefed the attendees on the details of the project pointing out that the land of the project had previously unorganized areas, which have subsequently been planned. The total area of the land is 70.000 SQM. The front is 430 SQM,  and the depth from 90 to 200 SQM. Hotels will be built on the Cornice, and commercial, and administrative buildings on the background area.

He added that the land offered for sale includes 4 pieces of different areas, the bids will be submitted in sealed envelopes, and a public bidding will be conducted for the higher price on next July.

Qatar has been chosen for promoting that project as the Egyptian side in interested in attracting the Qatari investments. He noted that Cairo governorate is committed to providing the facilities to the project, saying that buildings will be on 6% of the total area of the land, deposit of the bidding is 600. 000 Egyptian pounds for each piece of land, such amount will be paid cash or by an approved bank check in the name of Al- Ahli bank, Investment Trustees Sector.

During the meeting the Egyptian side offered integral recreational cities of two billion dollars cost, which will be offered to investors by Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) system.
