The chamber prepares celebrations for 30 years of the establishment of the Federation of GCC Chambers. 

At the premises of QCCI, a coordinating meeting was held yesterday for discussing the preparations for celebration of 30 years of the establishment of the Federation of GCC Chambers. The event is slated to be held at Grand Hayat hotel from 6- 8 April under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamad Bin khalifa Al-Thani, Amir of the state.

The event is organized by IP International in collaboration with QCCI and General Federation of GCC Chambers. The chairmen of GCC chambers, chairmans of joint Arab – foreign chambers, chairmen of European chambers ,chairman of the European federation of chambers ,and delegations from over the world will participate in  the ceremony.

Mr. Mohamed Bin Tuwar, member of the executive and chairman of the organizing committee for the ceremony, chaired the meeting with attendance of Mr. Mohamed Gohar, Mr.Rashid Al azba, Mr, Ali El mesned, Mr. Rashid Al Kaaby, Mr. Mohamed Mahdy Al ahbaby and Mrs. Ibthag A l ahmdany, members of the board. Also Mr. Abdul Rehem H. Naki, Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers attended the meeting.

Speaking in a press release after the meeting, Mr. Bin Tuwar said we are happy to host such event, noting that it will have great influences on the cooperation between the GCC chambers .The first day of ceremony includes dinner and addresses by some participants but the second day includes the Gulf Economic Forum under the patronage of HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabor Al thani, Prime minister and foreign affairs minister, bin Tuwar added. The forum, organized by the federation and QCCI, and bearing the logo ‘’prospects for the next thirty years’’ will highlight the mega projects slated to be implemented during the next 10 years and expose the world of business outside the region. He assured that during the past 30 years, the private sector has witnessed great advance and growing participation in GCC.The forum will be a platform enables the outside world to have a great view about projects and companies in gulf countries.

 Abdul Raheem Taki, Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers, started his word voting his deep thank to QCCI and HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jasim Al thani, the chairman for hosting and organizing this event. He also thanked HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al – thani for, Emir of the state, and HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim bin Jabor Al thani, prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, for their patronage this ceremony.

He highlighted the role of the federation in stressing the roles of the private sectors in GCC, explaining the changes and development occurred in the federation. He said that the private sector includes 75% of manpower .
