The chamber hosted an Italian trade delegation.
At the premises of QCCI, a meeting between Qatari businessmen and members of an Italian delegation was held. The delegation that includes various economic fields was headed by Mr. Sergio Marini, president of the Arab-Italian chamber of Commerce. The meeting, the chairman attended part of it and chaired by Mr. Mohamed Mahdy Al Ahbaby, member of the board discussed the Qatari-Italian economic relations and investment opportunities.
The meeting started by Al Ahbaby his speech voicing his thank and appreciation to the visiting delegation.’’QCCI welcomes to get together with our friends from the Arab – Italian Chamber of Commerce who are ready to meet the their Qatari counterparts, to explore trade and investment opportunities, as well as collaboration, to take advantages of the continuous growth and development in Qatar and in Italy’’Al Ahbaby added.
He said that we, QCCI, believe that the growing economic boom that Qatar witnesses will facilitate extending good cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their counterpart from different countries.
So, we at QCCI are looking forward to enhancing economic cooperation between the private sectors from our two friendly countries. Italy is a very important trade partner for Qatar. The most significant evidence of this partnership that explains the strong ties between Qatar and Italy is the presence of Toronto Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handcraft, and Agriculture, Qatar Liaison office at the premises of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also the signing of MOU between the two chambers in 2007 is another great evidence of the strong relations between the two friendly countries.
The presence of the delegation in Qatar today demonstrates the interest of Italy and its business community to further develop trade and economic relations with Qatar.
