Business delegation from Iran visits QCCI

The leaders of Qatar and Iran are keen to improve trade ties between the two countries, says the head of a visiting Iranian trade delegation.

Its members visited the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) yesterday and held bilateral talks.

The delegation comprises 25 members representing different sectors of Iran’s vibrant trade and industry, among them oil and gas, mining and manufacturing.

The visitors led by the mayor of Bushahar city, Rasool Zarai, have called on their Qatari counterparts to pay a visit to this Iranian city (Bushahar) which is nearest to Qatar, and explore business and investment opportunities there.

Also in the delegation is Maroof, who heads the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bushahr city.

At the talks yesterday, the Qatari side was represented by QCCI’s executive director Mohamed bin Ahmed Tawar Al Kuwari.

A statement issued by the QCCI yesterday said there is a likelihood of several trade deals being signed between the private sectors of the two countries.
